What Happens When You Forget to Love Yourself
We always care about what others think and what others feel that, often we neglect our own self. After years and years of self loathing, when you turn around and look at your life you have lived so far all you can see is faces of yourself crying, being lonely and disappointed. Most of the time, we don't know what is the reason of all this negativity. Putting it in a clear picture, trying to impress others and giving others the authority to control our happiness is the biggest mistake we are all committing.
But can we actually control this? Well most of us don't know how to do it. From a very tender age we learn to tolerate and live with people's ignorance. At the age of 5 we give up our favorite toys to our younger siblings. At the age of 12 we give up our favorite cartoons and games for studies. At the age of 17 we give up our ambition to fulfill our parents dreams. At the age of 20, we force ourselves to adapt to the situations we don't like. At the age of 24 we fall in love with someone expecting them to make us happy just because we would go any extend to carve a smile on their face (maybe they wouldn't even cry when you die). Do Not Cross Oceans for People Who Wouldn't Even Jump Puddles for You!!
All this while, adapting to unwanted situations we idiotically push ourselves into this crazy thing called love. What do we do when we get into relationships? We put them first. We make them our priority. Our world revolves around them. In a nutshell, from a fire raging reality, we push ourselves into a so called dream called love to be actually eaten up alive later on.
The real question is, do they feel the same about us? Are we their PRIORITY? Are we really IMPORTANT to them? If you keep wondering about this, probably it is time to give up on that one person whom you actually thought will light up your life. Not because you don't care but because they don't appreciate what they have which is you (the most unique creature). Let's accept this, no one would call you unique or awesome except you yourself. So suck it up! Praise yourself to yourself because you yourself in the only person real to yourself.
Let me say something, handling a broken person is never easy. But if you ever get the hang of it and if they love you, trust me no one can ever love you like they ever did. You would become their everything. Even a small scratch on your little finger can cause them to tear blood. Why? Simply because they love you so much.
Everyone one of us are broken in a way or the other. It just takes the right soul to see it and to vow to themselves to take care of the one who came to them trusting that this person would actually make their world beautiful. Every mother should make their sons promise that when he takes a girl into his small world and promise a beautiful heavenly life filled with love and laughter, he must ensure that she never cries. Every father must make their daughters vow that when she held a man's expecting a beautiful life, she should be able to trust him, accept his flaws and make sure he doesn't cry for choosing a girl like her.
One of the crucial thing which makes relationships breaks apart is insecurities. Undeniably, girls are the most insecure creatures on earth. As much as every girl seems perfect, we do come with a lot of flaws. Well, insecurities are one of them. We easily get terrified with past experiences. Those experiences need not to be the ones that happened to us, it could have happened to someone close to us and we took them to heart very seriously and pounce at you guys for no reason. But trust me, she does that because she doesn't want that to happen and she doesn't want to lose you. That doesn't mean she don't trust you. WAIT. Maybe she don't trust you.
If you ever happened to come across a broken person or you get the chance to be in love with a broken soul, try to make them a better person. Breaking them even more would take a toll on themselves. They will lose hope on humanity and might even just continue living for the sake of being alive. Be sure to create a better version of them than how you found them earlier. Some things can never be mend, so do some broken hearts. They can never be put together ever again.
P/S: in a favor for an old friend who has gone through a hell of a time (trust me, you are not the only one). know that there is someone out there really loves you a lot..if there is no one, be your own love.
