Friends Uplift the Talents

           Finally, all the exams were over. Semester full of assignments, projects, quizzes, midterm exams and now it is the perfect time to have some fun and to find some meaning in life. Laying down on bed in starfish position, Pecan was wondering what to do to have some real fun. Just at the time she heard her phone buzz. It was her high school best friend, VG. 

VG: Hi Puppy, how was exams?? when are you free to meet up with me and Ash?

Pecan: Hey VG!!! Exams over not gonna talk about it. How about coming friday?

VG: Great!! KFC???

Pecan: No. My house. We will have privacy. No one will be staring at us and we can laugh as loud as             we can. What you think?

VG: Awesome idea! So, Friday at 1 pm??

Pecan: Yeah!! Sounds awesome to me. Inform Ash as well!

VG: Alright Pups!

She felt as if her soul was flying free. After almost half a year, she was meeting her best friends Ash and VG. Two girls who never failed to cheer her up, motivate her, play with her and gossip around with her. 

"I've got to make this meet up a great one!!", Pecan thought to herself.

Since she promised that her friends shall have lunch in her house, she planned to cook something for them herself. She dragged her sister to the nearest grocery store and got some chicken and vegetables. She planned a dessert too.

Lesson 1: HOW TO CUT A CHICKEN.

Pecan was so excited about learning to cut a chicken. Just at the time of learning, her elder sister was worried that Pecan might lose her finger trying to cut a chicken and decided to cut all of them for her. Pecan's eldest sister was kind enough to clean the entire house so that it will look presentable when VG and Ash arrives tomorrow. 

Being a beginner in cooking field, Pecan was pretty much stressed about cooking for her friends and that too some complicated meal. She wrote all the recipes given by her sister carefully and actually did all the blending and the cutting that night itself.

"BUZZZZZ....BUZZZZZZ", her phone vibrated. 

Ash: Hi dei!! Cant wait for tomorrow!!

Pecan: Hi da!! me too!! preparing jelly for you all.

Ash: What really? my god!! its gonna be so much fun. cant wait to taste the jelly!!

Pecan: I hope you wont die

Ash: No. I wont. I know about you. You wont prepare anything that would kill us. HAHA.

Pecan: AWWWW

Ash: okay dei. see ya tomorrow. bye

Pecan: bye!

 Satisfied with the preparations, tired Pecan went to bed.

"RRRIIINNNGGGGGG!!! RRRIIINNNGGGGGGG!!" 

 Her alarm blared. It was 7am. Pecan jumped out of bed and headed straight to the kitchen. Took out the chicken from the freezer and let to defrost. Meanwhile, she cooked two different types of vegetables. Once the chicken was completely soft, she followed each and every step carefully and prepared a pot of chicken curry. She had no faith in herself. 

She placed the lychee jelly, aromatic rice, chicken curry and the vegetables nicely on the table. Took out the all the games they wanted to play. Played some nice music and waited at the door for her friends to come. 

Maybe it was a tiring day. But preparing a meal for friends is surely a meaningful thing. The food might not taste good, but all we need is friends who would believe in us and try all the food regardless the consequences they might face be it vomiting or diarrhea. This precious moment, Pecan learned that, friends are not only for fun they actually uplift our talents too.
