Blessing is Kissing our Father's Face

Blessing is Kissing our Father's Face

When was the last time we kissed our father? Maybe two or three years ago? Maybe a decade ago? Who knows and who cares right? A father is a man who work all day long and comes back home drawing an imaginary line between home and work leaving behind all the hustle and stress back there and still smile at his wife and children. Not everyone around this world gets a good father. If your father care enough to listen to your problems and give you the simplest advice of all, he is one of the best you can get. Feel lucky to have a father because many people out there doesn't.

This is a story of a father and daughter who taught how important it is to show and cherish love at all times. Every morning, being the youngest among all siblings, she always had trouble waking up and getting ready to school. Despite the laziness and her unending desire to continue sleeping, she was forcefully awaken by her father to school. The 9 years old kid was totally excited when her father pretended to have some super powers over the traffic light to change it from red to green all the way to her school. Well obviously her father knew the tricks of it.

Right after they reach her front gate, she gave a look to her dad indicating that she was very lazy to walk all the way up the hill to her classroom. Her father sighed and said

"You know I would love to send you till up but the school rules doesn't allow any other cars besides the staffs' car till the top".
She looked down at her shoes. Smiled at her dad, and hung her backpack up ready to abort from the car. She reached her dad's neck and her father held her arm and said

"Alright, alright. you know what, you don't have to walk all the way up the hill. You will be tired by time you reach there. I will go up halfway,  I will drop you there, make a turning and go out. So no one will notice us and you wont get caught. Okay??"

"Yay!! Thanks pa!!" she yelled out of joy.

As he drove his youngest baby halfway up, he saw that she was growing up. Not the usual little girl who always cry for something. She has learned to understand and adjust with different situations. She jumped out of the car and reached her dad's neck, pulled him closer and affectionately kissed him on his cheek. He felt her tiny hands around his neck and her little lips pressed hard against his rough cheek. He held her small body tight in his hands, kissed her and advised her,

"study hard ma. I know you will never disappoint me".

Knowing the deep meaning of her father's words, she closed the car door and waited till her father reversed his car and left the school area. All the way down the hill, her father waved goodbye not really bothering what was coming in front of him. He just wanted to wave goodbye to his baby before she can start her lessons for the day and he wanted her to know that he really love her. She also waved happily to her dad ensuring that she would study and hard and hoping to see him again after the school ends.

Just a small act of kissing each others cheek, directly and indirectly it has so many meanings for both the father and daughter in terms of love, future and trust.
